In 2001, The Old Manse was voted from over 3,500 national B&B’s, as listed in the AA’s
best-selling Bed & Breakfast guide, to be presented with the prestigious award,
'Landlady of the Year' (2001 - 2002), Runner-up.

It has been accredited within the 'Editor’s Top 20' category of ‘Which? The Good Bed & Breakfast Guide 2004’, stating that '…the main ingredient in each case is a host or hosts who are willing to do that little bit extra to make a stay especially enjoyable'. 

In continued recognition, The Old Manse received - 'Friendliest Landlady of the Year' (2007 - 2008), Finalist award, by the AA, in 2008. Then, in 2010, the AA presented it’s unique ‘Highly Commended‘ title to The Old Manse.

Once again, it had been selected amongst thousands of national Bed & Breakfasts - this time, noted for it's ‘outstanding hospitality, attention to detail and warmth of welcome to guests’ (The AA Guide).

The Old Manse now also features in The AA Guide's new publication, 'Britain's Best B&B's: 500 Perfect Places for Bed & Breakfast. 2008'.
